Vegan Mashed Potatoes

These Vegan Mashed Potatoes are a dairy-free version of the classic side dish. Creamy, fluffy, and super easy, made with pantry ingredients, no vegan butter needed!

  • 4 Russet potatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 tsp dill
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper


  • Peel potatoes.
  • Chop into the same size pieces, about 1" chunks.
  • Transfer in a large pot and fill with enough water to just cover the potatoes.
  • Bring to a boil and cook until soft, about 15 minutes.
  • Drain potatoes.
  • Add milk and olive oil.
  • Mash to desired consistency.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • If adding garlic, use fresh, minced or saute in oil until golden for more mellow, sweet flavor.
  • Garnish with dill.
  • Serve and enjoy.
